Where does the Viking Chester Tour start?

Tours depart from the Town Hall Visitor Information Centre on Northgate Street.


How much do tickets cost?

Tickets cost £10 for adults, £9 for concessions and children. Family tickets are available for £30.

For all concessionary tickets booked online relevant ID must be brought with you on the day of the tour.


Do we need to book in advance?

If possible, yes!  Our Viking Chester Tours can be very busy so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.


Can I book online for the Viking Chester Tour?

Yes, our Viking Chester Tours are bookable online at our secure booking page.


Is the Viking Chester Tour suitable for children?

Yes, our Viking tours are suitable for all ages, although children under the age of 16 should be accompanied by an adult.  Some stories may not be suitable for really young children, but they can participate in our tours at the parents’ discretion.

 

Is the Viking Chester Tour accessible?

Yes – as long as we know your requirements in advance.  There are some steep steps and cobbled streets on the Viking Tour but we can use a more accessible route if you tell us at the time of booking.


What happens if the weather is bad?

The Viking Chester Tour will go ahead whatever the weather. Please wear suitable clothing & footwear as some parts of the tour may become slippery in wet weather. Other useful items to bring would be an umbrella for our lovely British weather.


Can I make a private booking?

Yes. Private Viking Chester Tours are available all year round – to book please email: vikings@vikingchester.com.


Can I bring dogs on the tour?

Unfortunately our policy is not to allow dogs onto our public Viking Tours for the courtesy of other customers unless they are a guide/assistance dog.
